Well, honestly, he SEEMS presidential, and I LIKE that. His pushing for MORE of the bailout foolishness Bush signed into law really alienated me And that, along with the collapse of the economy caused by greed in the financial community, led to the "Down with Wall Street" demonstrations in cities around the globe. The demonstrators mostly have no clue as to the cause, other than greed. But, they surely have a point against the effect - massive job loss, - inflation, - widespread destruction of home equity, and - record foreclosures that let the greedy contrive to pick up the foreclosed homes from auctions for a song. More Americans would show up in the streets to block traffic and get arrested... IF they thought it would do any good. It DID good for Martin Luther King, Mahatma Ghandi, and their followers. But, actually very few have shown up in protest. Commentators on The Five today claimed SOMEBODY, like George Soros, has paid the protester/demonstrators. It all reminds me of what I read in the book *1798 by George Robison. *He wrote that the Freemasons caused the French Revolution of the 1790s, that he knew the Duc du Orlean had paid protestors to rail against the monarchy for more grain for bread. Will the demonstrations intensify into riots? Will our illustrious king lose his head? I guess not. The Demonstrators seem to love him, somewhat as their patron saint. Okay, the bailouts, the horrifyingly expensive, unpaid health care bill, the social security tax scam (money never invested for old age by government), more abusive income tax and courts than ever, which the President could fix if he had any spine or grasp of the ideals of good government. But what about the international scene? What has Obama done about the support money we pay to keep foreign dictators at bay? What has he done about trade imbalance and the fllood of investment and jobs away from the USA? HELLO. Looking for answers here. WHAT HAS HE DONE? HOLD IT. A light glows at the end of the Obama Tunnel of Doom: FOREIGN REBELLION against Foreign Tyrannies. Right. These happened on Obama's watch. - Osama bin Laden dead (many claim he died years ago) - Al Awlki dead (some claim he still lives) - Egypt dictator deposed (God knows the loyalties of the new dictators) - Failed uprising in Iran (Oh well, the CIA tried) - Libya dictator deposed (God knows the loyalties of the new dictators) - Syria dictator about to become deposed (God knows the loyalties of the new dictators) - Weakened US support of Israel against Palestinian terrorists - Us getting ever closer to leaving Iraq and Afghanistan as hard-line military actors I suspect AL QUAEDA as the supplier of the new dictators . Why not? They want Sharia in charge of Muslim lands. They provided leadership for the Libyan and Egyptian rebellions Obama could take credit for the deposings of all those dictators and has taken credit for bin Laden's passing. Six months from now I expect Obama will have some serious accomplishments to boast about: - at least 3 petty dictators deposed and replaced by "good" governments, - 4 or 5 terrorist leaders dead, and - many troops coming home from war torn lands. And who knows, the economy might start mending by then. Other candidates will look like utter weaklings in contrast to Obama. Maybe. Don't get your hopes up.
