jsg, 45% are bright enough to see you have a President who did good things for the country even when handed such a rotten economy and disasters.
Obama does need to get rid of Geithner, as his proposals for the economy have nothing to do with the people and everything to do with the banks.

To Trooth: Are you saying that Exports are bigger than Imports in USA? You sir are Idiot Troll propagandizing for big Corporates.

Of course you would have bias toward Unions.USA imports far more than it exports, hence the trade deficit.
Bulk of the imports originate from USA owned companies in other countries, as an example the thousands of factories in the border with Mexico, the Ti’s oriented companies in India etc.
This causes that the upper class in the USA still profits from those commodities, commodities produced at low wedges.
The backslash of this situation is that all those works are generated in other countries, increasing the gap between rich and poor in the USA.
The gap between Export and import is so huge that is almost a total market made of USA Customers. There is an article here how big corporates have Lobbied for Obama and contributed to his candidature. The same for republicans.

And the GOP, especially minority leader Boehner are doing their best to cash in on the problem. I guess they are hoping that people will not remember who got us into this mess:Eight years of Bush-Cheney wars, borrowing, tripling the national debt, and giving tax breaks to the rich.
Are the people of the US, the voters really that stupid and have such a short memory to blame it all on Obama? The GOP hopes so. They want to go back to the great Bush years where “deficits don’t matter” according to Cheney.
I really hope that people who vote are smarter and do not base their actions now on the propaganda they are hearing.

Maybe they are like the CAR FACTS – written by the dealer who is trying to sell the car.
Think about it!

The polls only show the bleeding edge of the dissatisfaction with the failed policies of Obama and the Democratic legislative bulldozer. The Dems have full control with 60 Senate votes, and the country is in a mess. America will oust them all, and Obama in 2012 and begin to rebuild.

I enjoy this article. I believe it is a fairly accurate prediction. There will be a lot of incumbents being replaced by the voters, provided enough come to the polls this November to implement these political changes. I do not, however, think that the outcome of the election will be party driven. Both parties have had infighting for decades. I think it will be economically driven. This is not an artificial gas and oil shortage. An artificial shortage of jobs, is a direct attack on the consumer and the labor force. It is suggesting that the voter cannot make a difference; they need the resources. This November will quite interesting.

TrueIronPatriot…I can always count on you to either change the subject or pretend the news isn’t as bad as it seems. No matter how bad you want this president’s economic policies to work, they just aren’t. I don’t want them to fail either but bad policy is just that and if it were to succeed, then left would become right and up would become down. Spending into prosperity is an oxymoron. I’ve watched you repeatedly say the numbers are wrong and the reports are skewed. Reuters is about as liberal as they get and even they can’t sugar coat it anymore. This is a great country and this administration can’t blame Bush anymore for it’s delusional, utopian principles. this crisis dates back to the HUD in 1992 when they were on a mission to give everyone a home and that plan has failed miserably.
