Just did and it's exactly what I assumed. Medicare by it's very definition is a social program. Once you change how the program is funded and operated it stops being a social program. In essence, privatizing medicare IS ending it. It simply becomes a private health care plan like all the thousands we have now.

There's also absolutely no evidence that privatizing the program would keep it solvent. Premiums are ever increasing each year. What's the guareentee that private "medicare" won't increase?

Democrat's aren't proposing to do "nothing". There's no actual proposal put on the plate yet but they are still talking about it. Last I heard it was removing the income cap and possibly raising the retirement age. Like the Reb plan, I'm not sure how that would fix anything.

I don't consider Obama any less black because he came straight from a "white womb" than someone who has white in their bloodlines. To me, we're all the same. If Obama identifies with black, that's good enough for me.

Also, I agree with you about the other links being closed. I'm not going to attach any theory to it other than MTO is raggedy. But they do need to get it together. Why post stories if nobody can comment?

MTO does this all the time. They have Obama threads, which are usually headline fails, then when the next one comes up, the link is mysteriously "not working". Leads me to believe MTO has really does have some type of agenda, but hey it IS a private site. Fred can do whatever the [EXPLETIVE] he wants. Yeah, I admit, Chicago fans jumped the gun after that first win talking about it was gonna be a sweep. They should have known they didn't have enough weapons for Miami.

I'm glad we didn't get Carmelo but I'm hopeful we can make a trade for Dwight Howard.
